Quality childcare is dependent on quality staff and we firmly believe in recruiting and training the very best. We are committed to fostering happy, skilled, passionate and loyal nursery teams in working environments where they can attain their full potential ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of childcare provision.
Staff are regularly trained and coached both internally and by external courses, ensuring that they are kept up to date with the early years policies and procedures.
The majority of childcare practitioners are trained to at least a level 3 in early years education and childcare. We have a very high qualified to unqualified staff ratio which far exceeds that of Ofsted requirements. We have practitioners at level 2 working towards level 3 and practitioners at level 3 working towards their degree. Our senior staff undertake management training in addition we support learning throughout the nursery and all staff are given the opportunity to attend courses to help improve their knowledge and skills.
We hold regular staff meetings and in-house staff sessions (delivered by external trainers) ensuring staff are kept up to date with the latest developments in childcare as well as re-visiting of our policies and procedures.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for our children so all staff are fully vetted and have an enhanced DBS check before becoming a permanent member of staff.
